LEGO Masters Challenge & LEGO Derby

Our annual LEGO Masters Challenge!!!

This year the kids participating in the building challenge side, can sign up for one of FOUR themed sectors: outer space 👩‍🚀, superheroes 🦹🏽, amusement parks 🎢, & make believe worlds ✨

The younger children can experience the LEGO derby, where they will build & race cars down the racetrack 🏎 

And, the very youngest siblings can play in a Duplo & wooden train area.

 

Just like last year, we're gonna ham this up as much as possible, to make it fun like the show.

DETAILS

Older kids can take part in the challenge.  This year they will choose ahead of time from four themed sectors (chosen at registration, so we know how many tables to setup), and then work together with teammates in their sector to build a world during the event.  They will NOT be drawing a list of options on what to build like last year, but instead creating their own thing, within the sector world.  As the challenge concludes, we will have the kids put their parts of the sectors together on a front table, as 4 worlds, for everyone in attendance to see...just like on the show.

Younger kids will again be building & racing LEGO derby vehicles, down our custom built ramp (thank you, Crystal & Mike).  Derby participants will still need to register, so we have enough building spots set-up for them.

All building is done DURING the event, but kids can also bring LEGO creations for display.

You as the parent can decide which age group your child fits into best, but just keep in mind that the challenge is for kids old enough to build a themed project in a team setting, and little kids wanting to play might make that harder for them.  For your reference, the range last year in the challenge was about 8-12, with a number of younger kids who wanted to build seriously also joining in, & about 3-7 in the derby.  

Runtime: 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

This year we will have much more room, and some special additions :)

REGISTRATION

$3 per participating child.

This goes toward a trophy for each child, in LEGO Masters fashion, & supplies for the event.

WHAT TO BRING:

Lego challenge: 

• A lego base plate, if you have one. 

• Your own legos for building your part of the project.  

Your personal building station will be taped off, so hopefully no-one will lose legos.

Lego Derby: 

• Your own legos for building your vehicle, including some wheels.

If you have leftover LEGO party supplies, or any LEGO decor you don't mind sharing to make the place look cool, please let us know.

CANCELLATION POLICY 

Refunds may be requested by January 30th.  After that date, refunds are less likely, and may be refused (due to supplies being pre-ordered).  Tickets are transferable though.
